Get Ready for No Kings
Take a stand for Democracy

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the people of Bakersfield will join cities across America for a critical day of action: the No Kings Rally. Held at the Liberty Bell at 1415 Truxtun Avenue, this event calls on every citizen who values democracy to stand up against authoritarianism.

Timed to coincide with former President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday and a planned military parade in Washington, D.C.—marking the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary—the rally’s date is no accident. It highlights the urgency of defending democracy against those who would weaken it.

“No Kings” is a growing movement determined to preserve the core principles of American democracy: free speech, checks and balances, and government accountability. Organizers are urging Bakersfield and Fresno residents from all walks of life to show up, speak out, and make their voices heard.

“This is our moment to remind leaders that democracy belongs to the people—not to any one person or party,” said one local organizer. “We need everyone who believes in freedom and justice to be there.”
